Hill Dickinson welcomes two

The Manchester office of law firm Hill Dickinson has expanded its property and construction team with two appointments, bringing the team total in the city to 16.

Andrew Carmichael transferred from Hill Dickinson's Sheffield office as associate, working alongside partner Michael Blakey on contracts with Manchester City Council, Peel Group and Calvert Group. Carmichael has been with the firm for five years, and brings a breadth of property and construction expertise including advising on banking initiatives.

Laura Ingram joined as solicitor from TWM Solicitors in London. Ingram will support the team's three partners on contracts and projects with the Friendly Society and North West investor clients. Responsibilities include advising on property development and investment opportunities, acquisitions, joint ventures and rationalising client assets.

Michael Blakey, partner and head of Hill Dickinson's Manchester property and construction team, said: "Our continued investment in legal property expertise demonstrates the commitment and confidence we have in the market. We welcome the two additions, Andrew and Laura, to our team, and we look forward to working with our clients in a new growth of the sector."
