Join Hill Dickinson for the 2014 Developers' Conference on Thursday 10 July in the unique surroundings of Chester Zoo.

This annual Hill Dickinson event will cover the current key issues in property, construction, property litigation and regulatory issues. Also joining us this year is Simon Mann, Development Director at Chester Zoo, Gemma Davies, Senior Manager – Economic Growth, Cheshire West & Chester Council and Emyr Williams, Development Director at Liberty Properties.

The event will include a BBQ and a memorable networking evening, together with a guided zoo safari; a fantastic opportunity to explore the zoo after the gates have been closed to the public.

Will it be an injunction or damages – and how will the damages be calculated? This will include commentary on the latest guidance from the Supreme Court in Coventry v Lawrence.

Drawing on a wealth of experience in identifying, planning and delivering successful developments on a wide range of scales and scope, Emyr will highlight some of the key challenges he has faced and overcome during his time as a developer and pick out some of the key lessons he has learnt along the way.

Gemma will be analysing the results of the recent Property Market Assessment as well as looking at a number of the current projects either in the pipeline or underway in the West Cheshire and Chester area.

The UK's second largest paying visitor attraction and one of the top 15 zoos in the world, work is currently under way on the construction on the Zoo's Islands project, the largest and most ambitious development in UK zoo history. As well as providing an overview of the project Simon will look, from the developer's perspective, at some of the obstacles that have had to be overcome in delivering such a unique project.
