The Hill Dickinson Table Football World Cup has reached a grand finale, with the hosts scooping the trophy on the night.

The final event had a carnival theme, with players and supporters greeted at match venue PlaceEXPO by samba music, chilli dogs and Brazilian dancers. There were eight matches played on the night, and a total of 191 goals scored.

The final match was all South American, with hosts Hill Dickinson playing as Brazil, taking on Ridge & Partners as Chile. Both sides had won all six matches played so there was little to choose between the two teams. Scores were even when the match finished, but Brazil won 18-13 in extra time.

Former Everton and Scotland player Graeme Sharp awarded medals to all the finalists and presented the World Cup trophy to the winning team.

Overall 32 teams took part in the Table Football World Cup, with representatives from DLA Piper, CBRE, Aecom, Keppie Massie and Kier.

Hill Dickinson said it was hopeful of organising a similar event to coincide with Euro 2016.
