Heath to seek ‘high value’ sites in new role for Redrow

Housebuilder Redrow has appointed Will Heath to the new role of group development director.

He will support the senior executive team, including chairman Steve Morgan and group managing director John Tutte, as the company looks for new sites, particularly "high value" plots in London and the south.

Heath joined Redrow, based at Ewloe near Chester, in 2009 and previously held the role of acting managing director of the Redrow Homes (NW) division, which has developments in Manchester, Wirral, Cheshire and North Wales.

Before joinging the business he spent seven years with estate agent Strutt and Parker where he became North West head of residential development.

He said: "With so much uncertainty over the planning system, the acquisition of new land opportunities and the delivery of new sales outlets in strong locations is essential to maintaining the growth of the business.

"My focus will be on the larger, more complex land deals and especially on extending our presence in the south of the country following the successful launch of Redrow's central London operation, which is now up and running."
