HCA unlocks Old Swan church project

Mosaic Town Planning has obtained planning consent for 11 affordable homes a new vicarage and church extension on land at All Saints Church, Old Swan in Liverpool on behalf of McInerney Homes.

The homes will be built to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 and be managed by Liverpool Housing Trust.

Paul Williams, director of Mosaic, said: "Our team worked closely with Liverpool City Council to achieve permission on a sensitive site within a challenging timetable. This ensures that development can commence in the current financial year, essential to secure the funding which has been allocated by the Homes & Communities Agency."

Williams added that the new church hall will replace outdated premises with an enhanced facility accessible to the whole community.

The development has an estimated gross value on completion of £1.25m. Work is scheduled to start on site in April.
