HCA tries again to sell Skelmersdale land

The Homes and Communities Agency has brought an 8.5-acre site in Skelmersdale back to market after an option to buy, held by Gladman, was not taken up.

The site on Stanley Industrial Estate was provisionally sold to the Cheshire developer at the start of 2008 but it chose not to take the site on in the current market.

The area is home to Asda and Comet depots and close to the M58. Lambert Smith Hampton has been retained by the HCA to market the site. No guide price has been set. Skelmersdale attracted £275,000/acre at the top of the market.
