HCA names new area manager

Duncan Inglis, founder of the Liverpool-based consultancy Inner City Solutions, is to become the head of area for Homes & Communities Agency in Cheshire & Warrington.

Inglis established Inner City Solutions in 1998 with Robert Fleming. The practice has advised public and private sector clients on funding and project management including the HCA, where Inglis worked briefly before setting up the business.

Deborah McLaughlin, executive director of the HCA in the North West, said: "Duncan worked for the HCA on an interim basis in the early days of the organisation so it'll be great to have him back in the team. He has a wealth of expertise in housing and land supply and is adept at building strategic relationships between public and private partners. We're really looking forward to him joining us in the New Year to help our partners achieve their ambitions for priority places in Cheshire and Warrington."

Inglis is due to take up the post in January.

The HCA's former head of Cheshire and Warrington, Neil Pickering left the HCA in June this year to become development manager at Manchester-based consultancy CRE8 Management.

An announcement on the new head of area for Lancashire and Cumbria is due to be made in the coming weeks. Marie Hodgson moved across from Lancashire and Cumbria to take over the Greater Manchester patch from David Chilton, who took up a development directorship with Rowlinson Construction.
