Haydock industrial estate now two-thirds full

PPG Land and Bracken Developments have disposed of a further four industrial units totalling 19,756 sq ft at their Cross 580 scheme in Haydock.

Smith News has taken three units comprising 15,856 sq ft by way of a new lease for 10 years at £5/sq ft. This was followed by the sale of a 3,900 sq ft unit to Mechlam Precision.

Tony O'Keefe, industrial director at letting agent DTZ, said: "Notwithstanding the current economic malaise Cross 580 continues to attract occupiers and interest. Principally this is as a result of the developer's ability to tailor offers to match occupier demand. We can sell or lease units and are pleased to discuss short term deals."

The latest deals mean two-thirds of the estate is now occupied with seven units remaining. The available units range in size from 3,900 sq ft to 4,320 sq ft, all of which have been fully refurbished. The units are offered for lease or sale on flexible terms with highly competitive rents and prices.

GVA Grimley and DTZ are the joint agents on the scheme.
