Hargreave Hale prelet office begins

Barnfield Construction has started on site with 37,000 sq ft of offices, 27,000 sq ft of which are prelet to the stockbroker, for developer client Henco International at Whitehills Business Park in Fylde.

The scheme, which also has planning for 15,000 sq ft of general business units, will begin with two office buildings on a 2.5-acre plot.

Building one will be a four-storey 27,000 sq ft building prelet to the stockbroker and investment manager, Hargreave Hale, already based at Whitehills Business Park. Hargreave Hale manages more than £4bn of assets and is partly owned by South African investment bank Investec.

Building two, Apollo House, will be developed speculatively and provide suites up to 10,000 sq ft available for rent.

Chris Hibbert, managing director of Henco, also based at Whitehills, said: “Our latest development is a continuation of Olympic Court & Apollo Court, which are now 90% let. The high quality accommodation along with central Fylde location being only 1/4 mile from J4 of the M55 is a big draw to many businesses.”

The buildings are expected to be ready for occupation in June 2016. The architect is Peel Design.
