Hann heads Indigo’s Manchester office

Indigo Planning has promoted director Doug Hann to be the head of its Manchester office.

Founded in 2000, the 17-strong Manchester team works with clients including Peel Land & Property, Bruntwood, Commercial Estates Group, Seddon Homes, West Register, Royal Mail and Barnfield Developments.

Hann has nearly 20 years' professional planning experience developing bespoke development planning strategies that enable viable project delivery.

He began his career in local government with Salford City Council, moving to Indigo Planning in 2002 and being appointed to its board in 2008.

He has expertise in advising major developers, landowners, financial institutions, local authorities and retailers on a wide range of complex planning projects, especially those with difficult environmental, heritage and community challenges.

Former head of Indigo Planning's Manchester office, Bill Davidson, will be stepping down as a director and leaving the company after 18 years to pursue other interests. He will remain as a consultant to the company.

Simon Neate, chairman of Indigo Planning, said: "In the thirteen years since it was formed, our Manchester office has grown into one of the region's most respected planning teams, providing strategic advice and helping to secure major planning consents for clients in the region and across the UK.

"We look forward to further success as Doug takes on his new role."
