Handforth Best Western sells surplus site

Castle Green Kendal, owner of the Best Western Plus Pinewood on Wilmslow in Handforth, have sold the adjacent White House to a private investor for an undisclosed sum to fund expansion.

The building sold extends to 5,500 sq ft and was formerly the staff accommodation for the hotel employees.

The sale of the building will fund significant further development of the Pinewood hotel following acquisition in 2011.

The grade 2-listed White House was originally a Methodist chapel with adjoining cottages. The intentions are for the building to now be converted to private residential accommodation.

Matthews & Goodman advised Castle Green Kendal.
