Handelsbanken opens branch in Deva Centre

Sweden's largest bank has signed a 10-year lease at £15/sq ft on 2,000 sq ft at Benmore's Deva Centre in the former Threlfall's Brewery, Salford.

Nick Nelson, surveyor in the office agency team at CBRE North West, said: "Handelsbanken has chosen the Deva Centre for its unrivalled accessibility to the motorway network, excellent on-site car parking ratio and its close proximity to the city centre.

"It also gives Handelsbanken a self contained unit with their own front door, which very few schemes can offer in the city centre.''

Belfast-based Benmore acquired the 83,500 sq ft building from Greater Manchester Property Venture Fund in 2007 for more than £13.25m.

Handelsbanken also has a branch in Sunlight House on Quay Street in Manchester.

CB Richard Ellis acted on behalf of landlord, Benmore Group.
