Handelsbanken enters Fylde coast

Swedish bank Handelsbanken is to open an office in Lytham St Annes, reports commercial property consultants Robert Pinkus & Co.

Handelsbanken has taken 1,765 sq ft on the first floor of the Assembly Rooms in Dicconson Terrace on a 10-year lease with landlord Lytham Town Trust. Robert Pinkus & Co acted on behalf of the landlord.

This will be the first branch of the bank on the Fylde coast and the 16th branch in the North West, alongside Manchester, Preston, Altrincham, Kendal, Lancaster, Blackburn, Bolton, Wigan, Warrington, Stockport, Carlisle, Liverpool, Chester and Burnley.

Founded in 1871, Handelsbanken is one of Sweden's leading banks and has over 750 branches in 22 countries. Handelsbanken has been operating in the UK since 1982 with a decentralised network of over 120 branches.
