Halton sticks with Keepmoat for Runcorn housing

Keepmoat has been retained by Halton Council to deliver another phase of the lakeside development near Castlefields.

The contractor is on site with the first phase of 86 units, to be called Bridgewater Gardens, due to be completed by the end of this year.

The second phase of the development, yet to be named, is pending planning approval and will see another 80 two and three bedroom family houses next to Town Park Lake.

The developments form part of the final stages of the Castlefields Regeneration Masterplan started in 2022 with the Homes & Communities Agency, housing association Plus Dane and Liverpool Housing Trust also involved.

Gareth Roberts, operations director at Keepmoat, said: "There's been a great buzz around this scheme and we're looking forward to delivering a great number of new homes to the area. The demand for phase one has been fantastic and we are working with the council to help deliver further homes to meet this demand in the local area."

Current prices of new homes on phase one start from £115,000.
