Halton BSF contractors train young people

Vinci Construction UK and youth charity the Prince's Trust are offering 16 to 25-year-olds a four-week introductory construction course at Riverside College in Runcorn.

The programme offers a mix of classroom and on-site work experience in various trades on either Vinci's project at Wade Deacon High School or Galliford Try's Grange School.

Peggy Desforges, programme executive, Prince's Trust, said: "With youth unemployment so high at the moment this programme is a fantastic opportunity to help young people find work in the construction industry.

"I would like to thank all the construction companies for their contributions and enabling this programme to take place."

Vinci and Galliford Try are delivering the two schools under a Building Schools for the Future contract as part of the Halton Transformational Partnership consortium.
