Hall on board as Savills builds retail strength
Savills’ retail team has followed up the hiring of Stephen Proudley with another high-profile arrival, as director Andy Hall joins the Manchester-based operation from Cushman & Wakefield.
Hall’s retail career to date spans 24 years, most recently including a decade as partner at Cushmans. He previously co-founded niche retail warehouse firm Petch Hall in 2001, prior to which he spent six years in the out of town retail team at Tushingham Moore after beginning his property career at Grimley JR Eve.
His arrival, and that of Proudley and Jonathan Netley from Lambert Smith Hampton, means that Savills will have an eight-strong retail team in the region, with an equal focus on central and out of town retail advising both landlords and occupier clients.
Dominic Rodbourne, national head of out of town retail at Savills, said: “Andy’s in-depth knowledge and experience will make him an invaluable asset to our retail division and we are delighted to be welcoming him on board.

Hall told Place North West: “These are exciting times, and we’re looking forward to offering the level of national expertise and support with local insight our clients deserve. These are challenging times for retail, but feedback on what we’re doing has been positive from developers, landlords and occupiers.”
Savills’ UK retail and leisure agency team is more than 80-strong, operating from London, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Leeds. The firm advises landlords and occupiers in shopping centre, high street, retail park and outlet centre locations across the UK, with instructions totalling circa 44m sq ft.
