Habitat to open Liverpool One store

Grosvenor has signed Habitat, the international home furnishing retailer, to a two-storey 20,000 sq ft store in Peter's Lane in Liverpool One.

Miles Dunnett, head of asset management at Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, said: "Habitat is a great addition to Liverpool One. The presence of Habitat in Liverpool One will look to inspire new customers when looking to dress the interior of their homes. It is a fantastic retail space and we are excited with Habitat's concept design plans. Liverpool One has consistently attracted ever greater numbers of affluent shoppers from across the North West, and we are delighted that they have made the commitment, which sees Liverpool One going from strength to strength."

The news follows the opening of the largest TopShop in Europe outside central London at Liverpool One earlier this month.

Habitat last traded in Liverpool over a decade ago.

signs of a proper city number 102. come on!

About time too. Totally arrogant of Habitat to initially say that the city was served by Manchester and Chester therefore “we don’t need to come to Liverpool.” Let’s hope there is parking space – like John Lewis – to pick up bulky items.
