Gym operator agrees Bolton deal
Agents Riddell TPS and Cheetham & Mortimer have let a 38,000 sq ft retail warehouse unit on Central Retail Park in Bolton to low cost gym operator Xercise4Less.
The agents were acting on behalf of Zolfo Cooper, administrators of Trostre Retail. The Leeds-based gym company signed a 12-year lease at the park. The deal follows a letting in May to B&M Bargains. Other tenants include Pets at Home, Brantano and Carpetright. The gym is expected to open later this month.
Andy Crompton, director of Riddell TPS, said: "The letting to Xercise4Less at Central Retail Park follows the significant signing of B&M Bargains and takes the total amount let this year to 70,000 sq ft. It demonstrates the Retail Park's continued attractiveness to both retailers and local residents, in terms of its town centre location, prominence and ease of accessibility given its location at the junction of Manchester Road and Trinity Street. It also continues the emerging trend in the expansion of budget gym operators. This new outlet is an ideal location for Xercise4Less and is in addition to other outlets in Yorkshire, Humberside and the North West, including another site in Wigan."
There is one unit of 5,000 sq ft remaining available at Central Retail Park.
