GVA manages site clearance for potential resi scheme

The Homes & Communities Agency has appointed GVA to project manage site clearance works at Whittle Hall Farm in Great Sankey, Warrington.

Subject to surveys and permissions being in place, GVA will supervise the site clearance, including the demolition of a farmhouse building alongside large barns and ancillary holding pens.

The site is expected to be marketed for residential use once it has been cleared.

Nigel Woods, a surveyor in GVA's Manchester building team, said: "HCA are a long-standing client of GVA and we have an excellent working relationship with the team, having just completed two similar demolition projects in the centre of Liverpool as well as replacing, recovering and maintaining the fabric of the ABC Cinema in the centre of the city.

"This latest instruction compounds our competitiveness in the marketplace to win tenders for work and we look forward to continuing to build on our existing relationship with the HCA as we oversee this project."
