GVA hires retail director
GVA has appointed Stephen Cowperthwaite from GL Hearn's Manchester office as a senior director within the retail, hotels and leisure team.
Cowperthwaite will be based in Liverpool, with a broader responsibility to lead the GVA offer across the North team.
He has represented both owners and occupiers of commercial properties, with a particular emphasis in the food retail and large space sectors. He has acted for major food retailers Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Waitrose.
His appointment follows the recent hire of Dan Hyde, a director in the retail, hotels and leisure Manchester team. Over the past 12 months, the team has seen a healthy expansion resulting in a 55-strong team across the country.
Cowperthwaite said: "I am excited to be joining GVA's retail, hotels and leisure team. The company has an excellent reputation with a remarkable client base. I'm looking forward to working with the team on some of the region's most high-profile retail projects."
