GVA Grimley upbeat after £18m turnover in North West offices

GVA Grimley's North West offices posted £18m turnover and profits of £5.4m in the last financial year.

The healthy regional performance reflected a record turnover of £148m nationally in the company's second year as a limited liability partnership. Profit for the 12 months to April 2007 was up 18% nationwide at £31.7m.

The Manchester and Liverpool offices, combined as one cost centre in the results, employ 170 people and ranked third in GVA's regional performance, behind London and Birmingham.

Mark Rawstron, regional senior partner at GVA Grimley in Manchester, said: "The last 12 months have been instrumental for us, particularly in light of the consolidation which has been happening within the industry. This has made it all the more essential that we retain our position in the North West and continue to provide the very best service possible through our strong regional office network.

"We continue to invest in quality senior people through lateral appointments and our expanded graduate's scheme. In Manchester we have seen 15 promotions in the last 12 months, illustrating the level of loyalty that exists within the office."
