GVA Grimley adds five to planning team

GVA Grimley has taken staff numbers to 32 in its Manchester planning, development and regeneration team.

Phil Stokoe joined as a principal economist from Arup and will work across the country, with initial projects in the Leeds city region and Lancashire.

Geraint Hughes arrived from DTZ as a graduate planner, to work on mixed-use planning schemes.

Eleanor Lloyd Jones, Daniel Roberts and Victoria Carr were all recruited from English Partnerships' graduate scheme and will work on a variety of EP projects and growth point bids.

Gerry Hughes, executive director of the team, said: "Although market conditions are much tougher at the present time than they were six months ago, we are still finding a strong demand for our services.

"For example many of our clients are seeking professional advice in relation to re-engineering development and regeneration schemes to reflect market conditions.

"We are experiencing increasing demand for our economic regeneration and development viability business lines alongside our town-planning offer."
