Grosvenor signs Guess at Paradise Street

Grosvenor Europe has announced that lifestyle fashion brand GUESS is to open its first North West store in a 5,000 sq ft unit on Liverpool ONE’s Paradise Street this spring.

The deal follows the opening of other Paradise Street regional flagships including Jack Wolfskin, Lindt, Smiggle and Urban Decay. The five new retailers total almost 11,000 sq ft of fashion and lifestyle floorspace.

Miles Dunnett, director portfolio at Grosvenor Europe, said: “The momentum behind Paradise Street continues with GUESS, an excellent new addition to Liverpool ONE’s line-up of international brands.”

Victor Herrero, chief executive of Guess Inc, added: “Liverpool ONE has a reputation for being very fashion-forward and is at the heart of a city that has a unique sense of style, both of which made it an obvious choice for a GUESS flagship.”

The store, one of only a handful in the UK, will stock the complete GUESS collection, including jeans, watches, sunglasses and footwear along with the GUESS kids and Marciano ranges.

Metis Real Estate Advisors and Cushman & Wakefield acted for Liverpool ONE.

L1 is now establishing itself as a premier shopping destination not only for the public but also for the retail trade and when as anticipated they expand it the choice will be even greater. More good news for Liverpool.

By Green man

Are there any plans for Liverpool One to be expanded?

By Stuart

There is a Guess store in the Manchester Arndale and has been for years.

By AJ

Apparently if they are successful in obtaining the Police HQ and or certain parts of Lord Street if the rumours are true?

By Green man

This is good news but it would be good to see more of a variety of brands moving into Liverpool. Liverpool is still lacking a number of key high street fashion stores, which are found in most other cities and has recently lost a number of stores such as Whistles, Mango, French Connection, etc. so the fashion offering still seems to be lacking compared to Manchester, Leeds, etc.

Great.

Haha the Arndale

So what if there is a Guess in Manchester? What does that have to do with anything?

By Nordyne

@AJ but it’s not a 5,000 sq ft flagship store is it.

Major snore….”There is a Guess store in the Manchester Arndale and has been for years”.

By L123

But who wants to visit Manchester Arndale? The Arndale is Manchester’s biggest problem, along with its hemmed in feel.

By Altmouth

Do your homework Place Northwest. Guess has been in the Arndale for a long time now, so it’s not the first NW store

@H Liverpool is not lagging behind Manchester and Leeds in regards to high street fashion Liverpool has stores that both other cities don’t -Liverpool has just established itself to being the fashion Capital of the Uk -and with the Clothes Show relocating itself to Liverpool and not Manchester or Leeds next year, from Birmingham after 20 years says a lot .
I much prefer to shop in Liverpool and L1 it’s beautiful, especially Grovsnoure Park and the new linking to Albert dock and Waterfront .
