Grimleys appointed for Liverpool land study

GVA Grimley has been commissioned to undertake an overview study of development land needs and supply for local authorities in the Liverpool city region.

GVA Grimley said that the study will form a key piece of the city region-wide evidence base, informing local development framework core strategies, particularly in reference to cross-boundary employment and housing land development issues and linkages.

Richard Laming, planning, development and regeneration director at GVA Grimley, said: "This is a great example of joined up planning for housing and employment land, recognising that supply and demand factors are not confined to local authority boundaries. It will provide an opportunity to plan for the needs of real market areas in the Liverpool city region."

The study has been commissioned by local authorities comprising of Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens, West Lancashire, and Wirral Council, together with Cheshire West & Chester and supported by 4NW, formerly the North West Regional assembly, and Government Office North West.
