Greengate office plans submitted

Ask Developments and Network Rail have submitted a planning application for the first phase of the Greengate Embankment scheme in Salford.

The first phase features a 196,000 sq ft office block, 101 Embankment, where Salford City Council has agreed to underwrite half of the rent for ten years as an incentive to get on site.

The wider plans are for 1m sq ft of mixed-use development including retail and leisure and car parking.

Construction is already on site for the public realm aspect of the scheme, funded by the North West Development Agency and Homes & Communities Agency.

The basement car park is pre-let to Dutch group Q-Park.

Drivers Jonas Deloitte advises Ask Developments.
