Greenbelt site with residential consent comes to market

North West Young Peoples Development Trust has appointed Drivers Jonas Deloitte to dispose of 136 acres formerly occupied by Fylde Community College in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire.

The site was acquired by the trust in 1904 and was used until recently by the Lancashire County Council college and as a community home. The site is now vacant.

The site lies within the Greenbelt but the trust secured outline planning permission in October 2010 for residential development on approximately 10 acres of the site where most of the previous buildings were located.

Hannah Thorne, assistant director of Drivers Jonas Deloitte in Manchester, said: "The scenic location and sheer size of the site makes this a rare residential development opportunity which is significantly de-risked with the outline planning consent already in place."
