A consortium of housing associations, led by Great Places Housing Group, is refreshing its construction framework worth £500m over the next four years.
The consortium, trading as Innovation Chain North West, consists of 20 organisations across the North West, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, Staffordshire as well as Homes & Communities Agency registered providers.
The framework will be used to call off jobs for new-build, refurbishment, architectural, engineering and inspection services. This will include commercial and community buildings in residential areas. The accommodation may embrace special needs including elements of care, support and mixed use.
The framework will include seven construction lots divided into low, medium and high value contract bands. Low value will count as any contract between £0 and £1.5m; medium value £1.5m to £4m; high value £4m upwards.
The lots are divided further geographically to cover Greater Manchester and Merseyside, Cheshire, Derbyshire West and Staffordshire, Lancashire and Cumbria, South Yorkshire and Derbyshire East.
There are seven further professional services lots which are outlined within the invitation to tender.
Around 40 companies were appointed in January 2012 to the existing framework.
The procurement consortium consists of Cube Great Places, Terra Nova Developments, Blackpool Housing Company, Hobstone Homes, City South Manchester Developments, Provincial Housing Association, Equity Enterprises, Peaks & Plains Development Company, Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, Palatine Contracts, Wulvern Platform, Your Hive (No.1), Mosscare Developments, Reviva Urban Renewal, Open Solutions UK, Halton Housing Trust Development Company. ICNW is using the Delta eSourcing portal to run the procurement process.
