Grange-over-Sands housing approved

Envidia Homes has been granted planning permission for the development of 64 homes and associated open space at Grange-over-Sands in South Lakeland.

The five-acre scheme on land to the south of Thornfield Road includes 22 affordable homes, within a conservation area overlooking Morecambe Bay.

Bernard Greep, director in Peter Brett's Manchester office, said: "We are pleased to have succeeded in gaining planning permission for this exemplar scheme, which will provide much needed market and affordable housing in this key service centre. The impact of the scheme on the conservation area and on Morecambe Bay – which has various statutory designations – was paramount to the design process."
