Graham tops out at Ellesmere Street

Graham has topped out at Glenbrook’s £40m Ellesmere Street development on Chester Road in Manchester.

The contractor has been on site at the 232-home development since last summer, and has now reached its highest point ahead of its summer 2018 completion date. Homes at the development will be released next year ahead of its completion.

Designed by AEW Architects, the 220,000 sq ft build-to-rent project is being funded by Glenbrook Property in partnership with Moorfield Group.

The project team also includes Shepherd Gilmore Infrastructure, Abacus, and Deloitte.

Gary Hughes, Graham Construction regional director, said: “This scheme provides high-quality accommodation for the area and the topping out ceremony marks a major milestone in the development of not only this project, but the wider Castlefield community.

“Manchester’s residential sector is thriving and we’re excited to continue working with Glenbrook on further PRS developments such as Erie Basin in Salford Quays.”

The project is part of a growing cluster of developments off Chester Road, which also includes DeTrafford’s Roof Gardens and St George’s Gardens.
