The largest commercial occupier in Peel’s Princes Dock has renewed its lease on a 53,000 sq ft building for another 15 years.
Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly known as the Criminal Records Bureau, has been based at the waterfront site since 2001.
The office is a five-storey block, with an on-site maintenance team, health and leisure club, cafe, bars, restaurants and a day nursery.
The building is now within Peel’s £5bn Liverpool Waters redevelopment area, which includes plans for an 80,000 sq ft office, No.5 Princes Dock.
Liza Marco, asset manager at Liverpool Waters, said: “We are delighted that this Government service tenant has renewed their lease for another 15 years.
“As one of our longest standing tenants and the largest in the whole of Liverpool Waters, to have their ongoing commitment is very important as we continue to grow the number and range of businesses who choose to base their operations on the waterfront.”
