Government adviser to address GM summit
Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has confirmed that Government chief construction adviser, Peter Hansford, will speak at this year’s Construction Summit on 15 July at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground.
The event is expected to attract 500 delegates to debate issues affecting the industry such as skills and training, procurement and innovation.
Findings from the day, including the results of several votes on different motions, will then be passed to key decision-makers in the construction industry as well as forming part of the Chamber’s campaigning agenda.
Hansford said: “I am looking forward to the North West Summit. I’m sure that, once again, it will provide an excellent opportunity for the industry in the region to come together to discuss progress being made towards our long-term aim of transforming construction in this country and driving growth in the economy.”
