Gov Today graduates from Landing

Public sector conference organiser Gov Today has almost doubled its floor-space in MediaCityUK.

Gov Today has moved to a 4,500 sq ft office in The White Tower after leaving space at The Landing, the digital enterprise centre above the studio block, having grown from 32 staff in November 2012 to 52 today.

Gov Today recently received venture capital investment from the North West Fund, financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The Landing launched in Nov 2012, and gives digital SMEs and micro-businesses a place to work alongside large media and technology organisations, allowing them to be part of and benefit from the rapidly growing community at MediaCityUK.

Jon Corner, chief executive of The Landing, says: "When a business like Gov Today leaves The Landing for bigger premises, they are a prime example of how support within a digital cluster can help grow a company.

"It's great to see Gov Today moving on, and shows what can be achieved by creating the best conditions possible for helping smaller companies grow."

David Wade Smith, chairman of Gov Today, said: "The creative and digital cluster within The Landing proved to be a tremendous springboard for the business. Since arriving at MediaCity UK our expansion has been rapid and our business has flourished.

"The move to the White Tower will enable this expansion and significantly increase our profile within MediaCityUK."
