Gordon Ramsay restaurant coming to Liverpool One

The celebrity chef’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar will take up 6,000 sq ft on Paradise Street – the brand’s first location in England that’s outside of London.

Bread Street Kitchen & Bar will set up at unit 7a/b and 105, which was previously a Jamie Oliver restaurant. It will be able to seat 195 people across its two floors and will also offer al fresco dining options.

Hungry patrons can expect to dine on a variety of dishes at the restaurant, including Ramsay’s signature beef wellington and butter chicken curry.

Alison Clegg, managing director for asset management at Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, said the Liverpool One owners were “delighted” to have Bread Street Kitchen & Bar join the shopping centre’s food and beverage lineup.

“Gordon Ramsay is a hugely popular and internationally renowned chef and we are proud that he wants to bring his brand to the destination,” Clegg said. “Liverpool One is continuing to grow its F&B offering and the signing of such a well-known restaurant brand further cements its position as a destination for quality food, not just retail.”

Gordon Ramsay Restaurants chief executive officer Andy Wenlock called the expansion of Bread Street Kitchen & Bar to Liverpool “hugely exciting”.

“We selected Liverpool as it is such an exciting, popular city that attracts people from across the UK,” Wenlock said. “We look forward to serving the people of Liverpool and visitors to the city all the menu delights Bread Street Kitchen & Bar has.”

Metis and Savills acted for Liverpool One on the deal, while Graeme Walt represented Bread Street Kitchen & Bar.

Liverpool One has been growing its food and beverage offering this year, with South East Asian bar and brasserie Mamasan opening earlier this summer, as well as Asian street food restaurant Maggie Fu. According to Grosvenor, food and beverage operators at Liverpool One has seen an uptick in visitors dining when they visit with approximately 25% of all shopping opting to grab a bite to eat. That’s an increase of 6% compared to a similar period pre-pandemic.

Liverpool is a fantastic choice for the North this will do really well here.

Great to see this one active again after the collapse of Jamie`s, really would love to see Grosvenor take the vacant police headquarters site and launch a 2nd restaurant hub which would overlook the quayside areas of the docks, along with associated shops, hotels etc.

I have eaten at one of the London Bread Street Kitchen sites so can confidently predict this will be a huge success. The former Jamie site is also a prime location so its win win . Well done L1 this is a coup, now what about an Ivy or Ivy Asia please .
Just regarding the former Police HQ , for me drop it and replace with something bold but with quality materials not some of the nasty cheaply clad developments that look dated after a few years.
