Good time had by all at Not Mipim Manchester
More than 100 property folk turned out for an informal get-together last night at the Mark Addy pub on the banks of the River Irwell for Not Mipim Manchester.
The event, to coincide with closing parties at the Mipim property convention in Cannes, was sponsored by developer Capital & Centric, recruitment consultancy the MRJ Group, mechanical and electrical advisors SI Sealy, and Place North West.
A fine blend of architects, agents, lawyers, planners, developers and engineers enjoyed some fantastic food from the Mark Addy kitchen, a few drinks and a good gossip on the Salford Riviera.
Tim Heatley, director at developer Capital & Centric, the main sponsor of the event, said: "Last night's event was fabulous. We're keen to get the word out about our work and the types of opportunities we're looking to add to our portfolio. The event gave us a great opportunity to promote our business to a wide range of professional consultants."

Organiser Justine McGuinn of Just PR & Marketing said: "Mipim has been a facet of Just PR's work in different guises over the past 14 years. As the market has changed so much, our home turf and supporting each other locally seems to have become more important in these times of austerity. With the support of the regional journalists, I decided to pull together an event held on the changing landscape of the Manchester and Salford border which was a great success."
The event was publicised on Twitter and through Place North West. Paul Unger, editor of Place North West, said: "Place strives to be the community newsletter for the region's property sector. That involves getting as close as we can to our readers and helping them connect with each other. Last night's packed event was another way of getting close. Thanks to all who came along."
