Outline plans have been approved to convert the site of an old mill near Glossop into a 81 homes and 15,000 sq ft of offices.
The 7.6-acre site in Tintwistle is known as Bridge Mills – named after an old dye works – but the mill was demolished some time ago.
It is owned by the Reddish construction group SCC which won permission to build two industrial units in 2008 but is now seeking to sell it on for development.
The application was handled by the Manchester office of engineering and development consultancy Fairhurst.
It is now working with existing clients and agents Nolan Redshaw in a bid to find a buyer for the site which has a development value of £11m.
