Glenbrook swaps Clarence House for Union Manchester base

The developer has taken up residence at new headquarters on Albert Square in the city centre.

The move comes after the company announced that over the past 12 months, it had completed more than £75m of investment transactions and has a development pipeline in excess of £800m.

Glenbrook made the move from nearby Clarence House to Bruntwood Works’ Union in order to facilitate the company’s increased headcount, which has grown to more than 20 in recent months.

The company has moved into a 4,600 sq ft office on a 10-year lease. The quoting rent at the building is £33/sq ft. The move sees Glenbrook increase its office space considerably from its previous home at Clarence House.

Ian Sherry, director of Glenbrook, hopes the new space will support the company’s expansion. He said: “We have always prided ourselves on having a strong company culture and this new, modern and open-plan workspace will support the collaborative way in which we work as a team and with our extended partners.”

Benn Dickinson, commercial manager at Bruntwood Works, said: “Union offers a blend of high-quality, flexible workspace, wellness facilities, breakout spaces and coffee shop Ditto, all in the heart of the city centre, making it an ideal fit for Glenbrook.”

Glenbrook is currently working on plans to develop 600 apartments and 53 townhouses, after being appointed by Bruntwood Works and Trafford Council to deliver the residential side of the Lumina Village Project in Old Trafford.
