GL Hearn relocates

The Manchester office of property consultancy GL Hearn is relocating from 1 St James's Square to Vantage Point in Spinningfields.

Vantage Point was acquired by Lothbury Investment Management from Hardman Estates at the end of last year for £19.9m. Existing tenants include Allied Irish Bank, international financial recruiter Oliver James Associates, legal recruiter Sacco Mann, private equity funders North Edge Capital LLP and property management firm 25 Moorgate.

GL Hearn specialises in offering corporate occupiers advice, as well as advising on planning, building consultancy and business rates.

Stephen Downey, head of the Manchester office, said: "The move is a vital part of the company's growth strategy in the North West and the timing reflects our confidence in improved market conditions across all sectors.

"Spinningfields undoubtedly gives our business the step-change we are seeking to achieve our objective of providing a great working environment for our people and to meet our planned growth targets going forward."

Will Lewis, director of OBI Property, said: "This is another positive letting for Vantage Point. We now have only one floor of 5,500 sq ft remaining. This is one of the most impressive office spaces currently available in the city."

OBI Property advised Lothbury. GL Hearn represented itself. GL Hearn is due to move this week.
