GGM secures full house as Handelsbanken moves to Sale

GGM Properties’ 212 Washway Road is now fully let with Handelsbanken opening its ninth branch in the region at the 9,600 sq ft building.

Handelsbanken has taken a 10-year lease on the 3,384 sq ft second floor, and joins the Residential Landlords’ Association which signed up for 6,000 sq ft at the beginning of the year in a move first revealed by Place North West.

The building on the corner of Washway Road and Harboro Road has seen an extensive refurbishment to a Grade A specification after formerly being used as a place of worship; this refurbishment completed last year.

The office also has car parking space for 28 cars together with bicycle storage and shower facilities.

Canning O’Neill advised GGM on the letting, while Handelsbanken was unrepresented. James Dickinson of Canning O’Neill said: “The Sale office market is continuing to perform well with limited high-quality stock available. The property allowed Handelsbanken to be located in a prominent location with signage and easy access for its client base.”

Peter Smith of GGM Properties added: “Handelsbanken represents an excellent covenant and we are pleased to welcome the bank into our portfolio. We took the decision to fully refurbish the property with a complete remodelling of the reception, which has enabled us to successfully secure tenants of an excellent calibre.”
