Gerald Eve hires from JLL

Gerald Eve has appointed Colin Harrop as partner in its building consultancy team, the fourth senior hire to the Manchester team in the last year and its second recruitment from JLL in the last month.

Harrop will work closely with the building consultancy department to lead and develop Gerald Eve's offer in the North of England. He has expertise across a diverse range of disciplines and has previously been both a chairman of the Yorkshire & Humber region of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and a member of the RICS international governing council.

Harrop will be reunited with former JLL colleague David Law, who joined Gerald Eve as valuation partner in January.

Mark Walsh was hired from Cushman & Wakefield last June as head of the Manchester office, and was followed by Jason Print who left C&W to become Gerald Eve's industrial agency partner in December.

There are now 25 people in the Manchester office in Marsden Street.

Walsh said: "Colin's arrival enables the development of Gerald Eve's building consultancy team and is part of a quartet of senior Manchester hires that show just how important the firm considers investment in its regional capabilities to be.

"Together, the quartet bring a wealth of experience in their respective disciplines and represent a significant strengthening of what is an already excellent Manchester team, offering clients an even better and more comprehensive level of advice and service."
