George Cox, Tarmac win four-year road contracts

Cheshire-based Tarmac and George Cox & Sons of Bolton have been appointed by Blackpool Council to deliver highways work worth up to £30m.

The companies will both deliver small and large projects – up to £150,000 and between £150,000 and £2m – in the borough for the next four years. The budget is between £16m and £30m.

Tarmac has a base in Gawsworth, Macclesfield. George Cox & Sons has been trading for 60 years and is based in Farnworth, Bolton.
