Genesis Homes latest project consented in Copeland

The Penrith-based housebuilder has secured permission to build 55 homes at Rheda Park in Frizington near the Lake District National Park.

The development will be called Beckstones and work is due to start in the coming months. The houses will have a mixture of two to five bedrooms, and 19 will be bungalows.

The first units are due to be released for sale in the summer once the show home has been erected. Completion is due by autumn 2022.

John Blue, land director at Genesis Homes, said: “This is certainly a one-off scheme and will produce a very scenic development. While providing much needed housing in an accessible location, the scheme will also be a boost for the local economy, generating new jobs and supporting the local supply chains.

Genesis Homes also has schemes in Cockermouth and Wigton, both in Allerdale.
