GB sells Cheshire housing site to Stewart Milne

Manchester-based HOW Planning has secured planning on behalf of GB Development Solutions for a residential development on land off Heatherways in Tarporley, Cheshire.

HOW submitted a full planning application for 33 new homes which was approved by Cheshire West & Chester Council.

Following the consent, Stewart Milne Homes has acquired the site from GB Development Solutions and will build out the 4-acre development.

The layout of the scheme, part of which is in the Tarporley Conservation Area, was designed to ensure the distinctive character of the village was maintained, retaining mature trees and shrubs as well as new landscaping and a new village green.

Jon Suckley, associate at HOW Planning, said: "Stewart Milne Homes and GB Development Solutions both had a vision to create an extremely high quality development, which will attract new residents to the area. The plans take into account the council's Tarporley Village Design Statement and have been developed following extensive consultation with the local community. We are all confident that there will be a high level of interest from potential home owners."

Stephen Daintith, senior land manager at Stewart Milne Homes, added: "This is an important acquisition for Stewart Milne Homes and we are looking forward to making a start on the new development. We are committed to providing a high quality development which we are confident will complement the existing surroundings and enhance the local community."

Stewart Milne Homes is currently in the process of buying a number of additional sites in the area.
