Gazeley gets green light for Stoke shed

Gazeley has been granted detailed planning permission for a 462,000 sq ft single distribution unit at Meir Park in Stoke-on-Trent.

The 20-acre site will be branded G Park Stoke, but will not be developed speculatively. Gazeley will wait until it has a pre-let or pre-sale deal in place instead. Stoke and the West Midlands form the closest threat to Cheshire's large distribution market.

Nigel Dolan, development manager for Gazeley, said: "G Park Stoke will offer a strategically located, sustainable development that will provide a commercially established hub from which to service the region.

"We will focus our efforts on offering locally based occupiers a first class option for relocation in the area, whilst also endeavouring to attract new companies and inward investment."

G Park Stoke will incorporate rain water harvesting and recycling, energy efficient lighting, solar panels, low water use appliances and sustainably approved timber.
