Gateway development in Trafford approved

Mosaic Town Planning has obtained planning permission for a 10,120 sq ft mixed-use development in Trafford, on behalf of Bolton-based Excelsior Properties.

The Cross Street scheme in Sale will provide retail and commercial floor space below 34 apartments. The flexible planning permission will allow the ground floor to be used for a variety of retail, food and drink, leisure or office uses.

Paul Williams, director of Mosaic Town Planning, said "The site has long been a regeneration priority for Trafford Council. The planning committee recognised it as a gateway site on a main road corridor into the borough. It was clear that for councillors the development can't begin soon enough."

Clearance of existing dilapidated buildings is expected to commence shortly once section 106 agreements have been signed.

Excelsior was advised by agent Guest Garsden.
