Games developer leases office at 60 Spring Gardens

Bally Interactive has signed a 10-year lease for 5,670 sq ft at the refurbished Manchester building.

The grade two-listed building was originally designed by Alfred Waterhouse. A £1.5m refurbishment in 2019 by owner Catella Apam included modernising the space and adding fully fitted offices, where tenants could adapt a “plug and play” model that allowed them to move into the space quickly and begin working.

Bally Interactive will share the first floor with Black Sheep Coffee and Italian restaurant Six by Nico.

“We are delighted to welcome Bally Interactive as our first office tenant to the building,” said Peter Barker, senior asset manager at Catella APAM.The well-thought-out refurbished space is perfect for their flexible office requirement and their desire to be located in the heart of Manchester’s CBD.”

Savills and CBRE acted on behalf of Catella on the deal, while JLL represented Bally Interactive.

Andrew Cooke, associate director in office agency team at Savills Manchester, said: “We are continuing to see good demand for fully fitted office space, and the offering at 60 Spring Gardens is of standout quality, providing a range of fixed and flexible desks, meeting rooms and communal space.

“It is testament to this that Bally Interactive has chosen the scheme for its next office and we’re delighted to have completed on the deal,” he continued.

“Following an extensive search of the city centre office market, 60 Spring Gardens was the unanimous choice for our client’s new office, providing a fully fitted offer allowing speed of access and a high-quality collaborative workplace together with excellent on-site amenity,” Wharton said.
