Galliford Try Partnerships has secured planning permission to deliver an affordable housing scheme in Ellesmere Port.
The company's North West business unit, based in Warrington, will deliver the £4.4m project, having secured direct grant funding from the Homes & Communities Agency's Affordable Homes Programme.
The scheme is to be built on a vacant site off Crescent Road in Ellesmere Port and will see the creation of 46 homes, all to be developed for affordable rent in partnership with Registered Provider, Magenta Living. The development will comprise nine, one-bed flats, 15 two-bed flats and 22 two-bed houses, designed to achieve full HCA standards creating homes that are sustainable, practical and affordable.
This is the second affordable housing scheme the developer-contractor will deliver in Ellesmere Port. The first was the construction of 17 homes on a former sea cadet premises on John Street, comprising two and three bed houses close to Ellesmere Port town centre. The scheme is currently on site, due for completion in early June.
