Galliford Try builds with Cosmopolitan
Galliford Try has acquired 2.4 acres in Digmoor Road, Skelmersdale from Isle of Man-based Distant Shores to develop 45 homes for Cosmopolitan Housing Association.
Liverpool-based property advisers Rees Straw represented Galliford Try. Will Rees said: "This is a prime residential site which is ripe for development. It is close to a number of local amenities with easy access to junctions four and five of the M58. Both Galliford Try and Cosmopolitan Housing Association are very experienced in delivering successful housing projects and I have no doubt this scheme will follow suit."
Darren Leary, development director at Galliford Try, added: "We are extremely pleased to be working in partnership with Cosmopolitan, the Homes & Communities Agency and West Lancashire Council in bringing this site back into sustainable use. Cosmopolitan has an excellent track record in providing social housing in West Lancashire and we are excited to be involved in delivering a high quality scheme aimed at broadening the choice of much needed affordable and attractive housing in the Skelmersdale area."
