Furness Enterprise launches new Barrow business park

Three fully serviced plots covering a total of 20 acres have been brought to market following infrastructure work at the new Ramsden Business Park in Barrow-in-Furness.

The sites are for sale to occupiers at around £240,000/hectare, or £97,000/acre.

Alongside the business park there are plans to start building a 450 berth marina and marina village in 2010/2011. Story Group is the preferred developer.

Stuart Klosinski, industrial development manager at regeneration agency Furness Enterprise commented: "Businesses wanting to make the most of Britain's Energy Coast need to firstly be in Barrow-in-Furness; secondly locate to Ramsden Business Park; thirdly take advantage of Furness Enterprise's experience and wealth of local knowledge, and finally to use Furness Enterprise to help them obtain generous capital and job creating grants and loans available to firms in this Special Assisted Area.

"Now is the time to make the move to Barrow-in-Furness so you can exploit energy investments in the East Irish Sea, at Cumbria's three planned nuclear power stations and in renewable forms of energy and ensure your business is in a strong position to offer your services to the nuclear defence industry and other commercial activities that are building up momentum in Furness and West Cumbria."
