Full steam ahead for Redrow at Ledsham Road

The housebuilder is requesting approval from Cheshire West & Chester Council to build the next 313 homes in its scheme near Ellesmere Port, having won consent for phases comprising 528 homes earlier this year.

The council has recommended that phases four and five of Ledsham Garden Village, west of Ellesmere Port, be approved by its planning committee, which meets next week.

The latest round of homes, 78 of which are designated as affordable, would be built on two plots totalling 56 acres on the northern boundary of the site, next to the completed 170-home phase one.

Redrow was granted permission for the 2,000-home development in 2015.

The project spans 260 acres south of Ledsham Road.

Construction of the second phase, comprising 272 houses, and the third phase, a further 256 homes, is underway.

Approval of phases four and five will take the number of homes at with planning consent Ledsham Garden Village over the 1,000 mark.
