Fresh Start hires for AIM float
Salford-based residential developer Fresh Start Living has recruited City broker Charlie Cunningham as chief executive to lead the business to a proposed flotation on the Alternative Investment Market.
Cunningham was corporate finance director at finnCap, an independent broker to growing companies, which he co-founded in 2004.
Fresh Start said Cunningham has worked on 30 flotations in the past eight years. Eton-educated Cunningham will relocate his family to Cheshire from Hertfordshire to prepare FSL for flotation.
Fresh Start plans to go public during 2012 at a time 'when it considers market conditions to be right'. The company specialises in transforming empty tower blocks into affordable buy-to-let homes.
The business has residential and student accommodation schemes in Manchester, Liverpool, Salford, Stockport, Nottingham, Bradford and Greenock, Scotland.
Fresh Start said it will sell 2,000 units this financial year and is predicting sales of between 2,500 and 3,000 units next year.
